Laye’s On The Road Again

I survived the Mt. Washburn hike TODAY, Sunday – July 10, 2011, with Carl & Tammy !!!

We began the 3.2 mile hike up and over a partly snow covered switch-back trail to the summit at 11:00 am from the Mt. Washburn parking lot on the south side of the mountain. Got to the summit by 3:00 pm — spent about 30 minutes in the Ranger Station on top of Mt. Washburn.

We began the 2.8 mile descend down the other side of the mountain about 3:30 pm and got to the parking lot at Chittenden Road @ 5:30 pm – took two hours down and four hours up = 6 hour hike — wow, what FUN we had – Tammy and I took over 250 pictures each !!!

Adrian had to come and pick us up, had left Carl’s car on the other side of the mountain.

 THUMBS UP ! I climbed Mt. Washburn.
